DAY 1. Birdwatching, 2 Canoe tours & Jungle Walk:Our Amazon adventure starts in the town of Lago Agrio at 09:30 am at Hotel D Marios for the people arriving by bus. We will pick you up with our private bus and in 2 hours we will drive to the town of Tierras Orientales. There you will be provided with a nice box lunch.

DAY 1. Birdwatching, 2 Canoe tours & Jungle Walk:Our Amazon adventure starts in the town of Lago Agrio at 09:30 am at Hotel D Marios for the people arriving by bus. We will pick you up with our private bus and in 2 hours we will drive to the town of Tierras Orientales. There you will be provided with a nice box lunch.
Here the 4-days Amazon tour begins as we take a 3.5 hour canoe ride to Waita Lodge. This will be your first chance to spot many kinds of animals, like pink dolphins, monkeys and birds! Also, you will be able to enjoy the landscapes of the Cuyabeno reserve.
After arrival at Waita lodge, you will have time to unpack and relax. After a delicious dinner, our local guide will give a briefing about the activities of the next days. Then, go and grab your flashlight because our guide will take you on a thrilling night walk to spot insects, spiders, snakes, and other animals.
DAY 2. Birdwatching, 2 Canoe tours & Jungle Walk: Our second day starts with an early activity of birdwatching. We will take our rowing canoe to enjoy the sunrise and incredible landscapes of the Cuyabeno rainforest. We will visit small lakes near Waita lodge to observe different species of birds and mammals. Then, we return to the lodge for a well-deserved breakfast.
After a short rest, our guide will take you on a deep jungle walk of 3 hours. He will explain everything there is to know about the Cuyabeno. This interesting information will give you new insights about living in the jungle. After this wonderful walk, we will return to Waita lodge to enjoy a nice lunch.
In the afternoon at 4:30 pm, we will again take our rowing canoe to the forest flooded by black water. This is a unique place to see microscopic animals and many species of birds. We will then row to a narrow white water river where we can observe birds that can't be found on the big rivers of the Cuyabeno. When the night begins to fall, we will head back to Waita lodge. However, on our venture downstream, we will take the opportunity to search for caimans and other nocturnal animals such as fishing bats, tree boas, and birds.
DAY 3. Birdwatching, 3 Canoe tours, Bird Observation Tower & Night walk: It's time to enjoy the Cuyabeno rainforest and its animal life before dawn. At 05:30 am, we will take our motorized canoe for a 1.5 hour trip down the Cuyabeno river. We will enjoy bird watching and animal spotting. At 07:00 am we will stop at a special place on the river to enjoy the morning rituals of 5 species of parrots and parakeets. After this breath-taking tour, we will head back to Waita lodge for a nice breakfast.
After resting, we will take the motorized canoe again to visit the place where 2 rivers meet. This is the perfect place to spot dolphins and once again enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Cuyabeno rainforest. Then, we will return to the lodge for a delicious lunch.
At 04:00 pm, we start our next adventure. We will take our canoe to visit the Bird Observation Tower. This tower of more than 28 meters high was built around one of the largest trees in the area. Here, you will enjoy a beautiful view of the jungle canopy and observe a great diversity of animal life.
Before returning to our lodge, we will make a short night walk around the tower in search of new species of insects. Then, a delicious dinner will be waiting for us at the lodge.
DAY 4. Morning excursions & Canoe trip: Today is the last day of this amazing 4-day jungle tour. This morning, we will have our last early activity into the forest or by canoe. Our guide will take you on a brief excursion.
Then, it's time for everyone to pack their bags for the return trip. Fortunately, we will take another 3.5 hour canoe ride back to the town of Tierras Orientales. This will be your last chance to observe animals and enjoy the Cuyabeno rainforest.
Our transport will drive you back to Lago Agrio, arriving at approximately 04:00 pm. Here, you can take your bus or plane back to Quito.

DAY 2. Birdwatching, Two Canoe rides & Deep jungle walk: Our first activity is begins at 06:00 am in the morning as this is the best time to go birdwatching. We will take our rowing canoe to enjoy the sunrise, incredible landscapes, and animal spotting. We will pass through small lakes of the Cuyabeno jungle before returning to the lodge for breakfast.
After some rest in the hammock, the guide will invite you for a 3-hour deep jungle walk. Here the guide will explain everything there is to know about the Cuyabeno rainforest. You will learn wisdom passed on from generations living in the jungle! After this interesting walk, we will return to Waita lodge for lunch.
At 04:30 pm in the afternoon, we will take the rowing canoe to row to the forest flooded by black water. Here we can spot diverse wildlife. Then in contrast, we will navigate a narrow white water river to spot birds that can't be found in big rivers.
When night begins to fall, we will make our way back to Waita lodge. We will venture downstream in search of caimans, fishing bats, tree boas, and nocturnal birds.
DAY 3. Birdwatching, Three Canoe rides, Bird Observation Tower & Night walk: We begin our day at 05:30 am in the morning. These are the best hours to enjoy animal life before sunrise. We will begin the excursion in our motor canoe going down the Cuyabeno river for 1.5 hours. Here, you can enjoy birdwatching until we reach special clay banks. On these clay banks at 07:00 am, parakeets and colorful parrots enjoy their morning meal. An exclusive thing to see!
After breakfast and some rest, we will take the motorized canoe to the Bocana. This is the place where 2 rivers meet and is perfect for spotting dolphins and enjoying beautiful views. After an informative tour, you can enjoy a delicious lunch.
At 04:00 pm a new adventure begins. With our canoe, our local guide will take you to the Bird Observation Tower. This tower, built around the largest tree of the area, is an amazing 28 meters high. This is the perfect place to enjoy stunning canopy views.
Before returning to Waita Lodge, we will take a short night walk around the tower in search of new species of insects. Finally, we will return to the lodge for a nice dinner. On our way back, make sure to spot some caimans!
DAY 4. Excursión de día completo en canoa y caminata por la jungla: After an early breakfast at 07:00 a.m., we will take the rowing canoe to add more species to our “check list”. We will row down the narrow white-water river, home to rare species, and will try to spot different species of animals.
After a Box lunch, we will enjoy a 3 hour deep jungle walk on the trail of Terra Firme. Our local guide will share more knowledge about the Cuyabeno rainforest, and you will be able to spot more wildlife.
After an exciting day, we will return to our lodge at approximately 4:30 p.m. The rest of the night you will enjoy a well-deserved dinner and rest.
DAY 5. Morning activity & 3.5 hour Canoe ride: On our last day we will take you on our last early activity. This will be a brief excursion into the rainforest or in our canoe to enjoy the awakening of nature. Again, this is a wonderful time for birdwatching and enjoying the final day in the beautiful Cuyabeno jungle.
After breakfast, you will prepare your luggage for the return trip. For the final moments, you will enjoy a 3.5 hour canoe ride back to Tierras Orientales. Here our private bus will take you back to Lago Agrio at 16h00. From here, you can go by plane or bus back to Quito.

Before sunrise, we will enjoy the rainforest and its animal life. We will begin our journey in a motor canoe going downstream of the Cuyabeno river for 1.5 hours. This is a wonderful time to enjoy birdwatching. At special clay banks at 07:00 a.m. , parakeets and colorful parrots enjoy feeding on clay. In our canoe this is an exclusive thing to see!
After a delicious breakfast, the guide will take us on a 3-hour deep jungle walk. Here, he will share valuable knowledge and show you all you need to know about the Cuyabeno reserve. After this interesting walk, we will enjoy a nice lunch.

DAY 3. Three canoe trips, Short jungle walk & Lagoon swim: We begin our day at 06:00 a.m. in the morning. We will enjoy the sunrise and with the canoe navigate through small lakes near the lodge. You will have the chance to observe a wide variety of birds and mammals. Then, we will return to the lodge for a delicious breakfast.
After breakfast, we will pack our gear and take our motorized canoe to reach the “Bocana”. This is the place where 2 rivers join. This is where we will once again see freshwater dolphins. We will then ride downstream for 2 hours to reach the mouth of the “Iripari” channel. Here, we will enjoy a box lunch.
After lunch, we will take a short rainforest walk between lagoons. After enjoying beautiful landscapes, we will take the canoe to enjoy the sunset and we will take a nice swim in the lagoon. At dinner, our guide will share the activities of the next day.
DAY 4. Birdwatching, Canoe ride, Lagoon swim & Caimans search: At 06:00 a.m. we will take our motor canoe again to go birdwatching. We will visit the flooded forest dominated by a large number of palms. After enjoying beautiful landscapes, we will return to the lodge for a delicious breakfast.
After a short rest, we will grab our equipment and continue in our canoe towards the border between Ecuador and Peru. We will explore the rainforest and its lagoons. This is followed by a journey up the river of Lagartococha to see more monkeys, dolphins, and birds. We will then enjoy lunch and a swim.
After a refreshing swim, we will set up camp for the next 2 days. After set-up and dinner, our guide will explain more about the Cuyabeno reserve and will invite you to search for caimans!
DAY 5. Dolphin Lagoon, Jungle walk, Swim, Community visit, Canoe ride & Night walk: This morning, we will enjoy a canoe trip to the lagoon of “Dolphin Cocha”. This is a special lagoon named after the high percentage of pink dolphins that live here. Here, you can also enjoy a swim with them! Later, we will head back to camp to enjoy breakfast.
After a rest, we will take a short walk in the Terra Firme forest to meet a small group of indigenous people: the Secoya. Here, you will get a taste of what it's like to live in the secluded jungle. Here, we will have a box lunch.
In the afternoon we will continue our journey by taking the motor canoe to visit small black water pipes. This spectacular ecosystem is home to unique species of birds and mammals. Here, we can take another refreshing dip in the lagoon.
When night begins to fall, we will head back to camp. On our trip back, keep your eyes open for caimans, fishing bats, tree boas, and birds! After dinner, the guide will take us on another thrilling night walk!
DAY 6. Morning activity, Full day Canoe trip, Swimming & Community visits: At 06:00 a.m. In the morning, our guide will take us on a brief excursion. This can be either in the canoe or a walk into the rainforest. After enjoying this spectacular morning, we will return to camp for breakfast.
Then, we grab our gear and make our way back to Waita Lodge. Along the way, we will make some stops to enjoy lunch, a swim, and we will visit different communities of the Cuyabeno reserve. Here, you will be able to purchase some handicrafts.
After arrival at the lodge, we can enjoy a shower and rest. After a delicious dinner, we will make a checklist of all the animals we've observed.
DAY 7. Morning excursion & Canoe ride: On the last day of our 7-day tour, we will have our last early activity to enjoy the Cuyabeno. Our guide will take you on a brief excursion into the forest or by canoe to enjoy the awakening of nature.
After breakfast, you must prepare your luggage for the return trip. Luckily, there is another 3.5 hour canoe trip back to the town of Tierras Orientales. This will be a nice moment to take the last memory of this wonderful place.
Once we reach the town, our private transport will take you back to Lago Agrio. This will be the end of your jungle tour. Arriving at 04:00 p.m., here you can either take a bus or plane back to Quito.
